CVWG to discuss self-publishing

ALTOONA — In coordination with the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild, local authors Katherine Schneider and CeCelia Zorn will host a discussion about self-publishing.

The discussion, titled “Is Self-Publishing for You?” will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at The Classic, 2455 Sawgrass Place, Altoona.

The self-published authors will explore the pros and cons of self-publishing and offer insights on the process.

Wisconsin Singers to perform in CF

CHIPPEWA FALLS — UW-Madison’s Wisconsin Singers will bring their choreography, vocals and big band sound to Chippewa Falls this month.

The group will perform at 3 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Chippewa Falls High School auditorium, 735 Terrill St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

The show, titled “In Living Color,” will feature hits from the past five decades, according to a news release. The lineup includes songs by Elvis Presley and Billy Joel to current pop stars like Bruno Mars and Beyonce, as well as Broadway and children’s tunes.

The show will also feature an opening performance by the Chi-Hi Harmonics and part of the proceeds will benefit their program.
