Uniroyal event rescheduled

Hazardous weather forced the postponement of Monday’s readers theater production of “What Happened to Brian?”

The backstage production has been rescheduled for 5 and 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at the State Theatre, 316 Eau Claire St.

The performance focuses on the impact of the 1992 shutdown of Eau Claire’s Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Co. plant on workers.

A film version of the event is scheduled to premiere at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 S. High St., Chippewa Falls.

Tickets to the Eau Claire show are $10. For more information about the event, visit eauclairearts.com.

Museum holds Snow Ball

MENOMONIE — The Rassbach Heritage Museum, 1820 Wakanda St. N.W., will hold a Snow Ball winter dance starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in Wakanda Park.

The dance is a throwback to UW-Stout’s Snow Ball dances of the mid-1900s. It will feature music by The Thundermen, a rock band formed in 1959.

Party dress, especially vintage dress, is encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed and best vintage.

There will also be contests, dance demonstrations, a clothing exhibit and historic images provided by the Dunn County Historical Society.

Tickets are $20 each, which includes a museum membership for the year. Beer and wine will also be sold.

Tickets can be purchased at the museum or by calling 715-232-8685.
