A rural Colfax man died in a Saturday afternoon house fire.
The name of the man is not being released pending notification of relatives, according to Dunn County Sheriff Dennis Smith.
The Dunn County sheriff’s office received a 911 call at 4:53 p.m. reporting the fire in the town of Grant.
The Colfax Fire Department and sheriff’s office responded to the residence on Highway W. Mutual aid was requested from numerous local fire departments.
The man’s body was located in the house by firefighters and was removed. No one else lived at the residence.
The sheriff’s office and Dunn County medical examiner’s office are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and cause of the fire.
