CHIPPEWA FALLS — The Wisconsin State Patrol arrested an Eau Claire man Saturday for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.
According to a news release:
A State Patrol trooper stopped a 1985 Chevrolet camper van at approximately 3:41 p.m. Saturday after a request from Chippewa County to stop the vehicle, being driven by Jason D. Lucht, 43, of Eau Claire.
The trooper observed the vehicle traveling on Stillson Road and 181st Street in the town of Lafayette with an expired registration and stopped the vehicle.
Lucht appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested for sixth-offense drunken driving after standardized field sobriety testing.
Lucht agreed to evidentiary testing of his blood and was incarcerated in Chippewa County awaiting court proceedings.
