Eau Claire County gas station robbed

The Eau Claire County sheriff’s office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday morning at the Holiday gas station, 6123 Truax Blvd., town of Union.

According to information released by the sheriff’s office:

At about 4:25 a.m. Monday, the sheriff’s office received a report of an armed robbery at the Holiday.

Responding deputies secured the building and area with the assistance of the Eau Claire Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.

Information so far has determined that a lone male subject dressed in all black clothing, wearing a black winter ski mask and carrying a black backpack entered the building, brandished a weapon and fled the area to the south east on foot.

An undisclosed amount of money and other items were taken during the robbery. There were no injuries reported.

No further information is available at this time but will be provided as it becomes available and at the appropriate time of the investigation.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with any information on this case to call the sheriff’s office or the local Crime Stoppers tip line at 715-874-TIPS (8477). This would include anyone who lives in the area or was traveling near the area at the time of the robbery and saw something they believe was suspicious.
