Democratic Wisconsin legislators will host a town hall meeting later this month in Chippewa Falls to discuss the impact of the Foxconn Technology Group project, which they describe as the largest taxpayer giveaway by a state to a foreign corporation in U.S. history.
The local event, part of a statewide tour, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the Chippewa Falls Public Library, 105 W. Central St.
Speakers will include Reps. Gordon Hintz of Oshkosh, Katrina Shankland of Stevens Point, Amanda Stuck of Appleton and Dana Wachs of Eau Claire.
Foxconn is building a manufacturing plant in Racine County to make flat-screen display panels. The plant is expected to be a $10 billion complex employing up to 13,000 people.
