RICE LAKE — A 57-year-old man is in critical condition following a one-vehicle rollover Wednesday morning in Barron County.
According to information released by Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald:
At 7:58 a.m. Wednesday, the Barron County sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting the crash on Highway 63 just north of Turtle Lake.
Deputies, along with personnel from the Turtle Lake Police Department, Turtle Lake Fire Department, Cumberland Fire Department, Barron County First Responders, Ambulance Service Cumberland and the North Memorial Health helicopter, all responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, the man, whose name was withheld pending the notification of family, was extricated from the vehicle and flown to a North Memorial Health hospital in Minnesota.
The initial report indicates drugs and speed as factors in the crash.
Highway 63 was closed for about one hour.
