MENOMONIE — The Hmong Stout Student Organization will host its 11th annual Menomonie Hmong New Year celebration Saturday at UW-Stout.
The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. event will be in the multipurpose room at the university’s Sports and Fitness Center, 220 13th Ave., Menomonie.
Admission is $5 for the public. It is free for children 5 and younger as well as for UW-Stout students, faculty and staff.
The event will feature an opening ceremony with remarks by UW-Stout provost Patrick Guilfoile and performances from singer Pagnia Xiong and rapper Tou SaiKo Lee. Xiong will perform at 12:15 p.m., Lee at 1:30 p.m.
Visitors will also be able to participate in an open volleyball tournament and a social dance. Vendors will sell Hmong food and beverages.
