A fire that caused $40,000 damage to a business on Eau Claire’s north side Monday night is under investigation, firefighters say.
The fire was reported at 8:45 p.m. at Anderson Automotive, 2325 Eddy Lane.
According to the Eau Claire Fire Department:
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the room of the single-story building that contains several businesses, including Anderson Automotive.
Fire was found in the attic space of the building and extinguished. Firefighters then ventilated the structure.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours checking for fire extension, performing salvage operations and investigating the cause.
No injuries were reported.
