Eau Claire developer and business owner John Mogensen was arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction on Saturday after turning himself in at the Eau Claire County Jail.
According to information released by the Eau Claire Police Department:
Officers were called to a report of family trouble just before 9 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 300 block of Water Street.
A female reported an argument over a cellphone and said Mogensen grabbed her by the neck and then grabbed her cellphone, causing her to feel “threatened and scared.”
The female said she didn’t believe any marks were left on her neck, and an officer didn’t observe any.
Mogensen initially wouldn’t meet with officers, but he turned himself in at the jail just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
No criminal charges have been filed against Mogensen as yet. He is scheduled to appear in Eau Claire County Court on Jan. 2.
