One of two Eau Claire men facing felony armed robbery charges has pleaded no contest.
As part of a plea agreement, Daamon C. Stalson, 22, 472 W. Grand Ave., entered a plea Thursday in Eau Claire County Court to one of three armed robbery charges for his involvement in a robbery in Chippewa Falls.
Judge William Gabler dismissed the other two charges and set Stalson’s sentencing for Feb. 13.
According to the criminal complaint:
At about 10 p.m. March 11, Azara, 642 Water St., was robbed by an unknown male with a handgun. The suspect fled with about $1,100 in cash.
Cenex River Country Co-op, 2802 Third St., was robbed at about 10:53 p.m. March 25 by an unknown male with a handgun. The suspect made off with $251 in cash.
The next day, at about 12:53 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at Kwik Trip, 503 E. Grand Ave., Chippewa Falls. The suspect, using a handgun, took about $200.
Stalson and Dustin J. Lussier, 21, 1101 Pershing St., were identified as suspects and taken into custody. Stalson admitted to driving Lussier to the Cenex and Kwik Trip robberies. He said he had no involvement with the Azara robbery but Lussier did.
On Sept. 28, Lussier pleaded no contest to two of three armed robbery charges, and he is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
