Ex-student charged with making threats

MENOMONIE — A former Menomonie High School student has been found guilty of making terroristic threats resulting from an incident on Nov. 14.

In a news release from Dunn County District Attorney Andrea Nodolf, the former student admitted to placing a note in a student restroom that stated the school was going to be “shot up” that day.

After the note was found the school was put on a preventive lockdown until the threat was eliminated.

“Without exception, students in Dunn County deserve educational environments that are safe and free from fear, violence and threats,” Nodolf said in the statement.
