An Eau Claire man will spend four years in prison for his seventh drunken driving conviction since 1992.
Jeffery L. Seegert, 52, 1003 O’Brien St., was found guilty recently in Eau Claire County Court of a felony count of seventh-offense drunken driving.
Judge Shaughnessy Murphy ordered Seegert to spend three years on extended supervision following his release from prison.
Seegert was fined $2,357 and had his driver’s license revoked for three years.
As conditions of supervision, Seegert cannot drink alcohol or enter taverns.
According to court records:
Seegert was arrested for drunken driving July 29, 2016, following a traffic stop on Interstate 94 in the town of Union. His blood alcohol level was 0.193.
Seegert was previously convicted of drunken driving in March 1992 in La Crosse County, in September 1994 in Florida, in March 1998 and December 2007 in Eau Claire County, in July 2002 in Chippewa County, and in February 2008 in Dunn County.
