A Milwaukee man will spend two years in prison for strangling and punching a pregnant woman.
Quinn M. Henigan, 26, pleaded no contest recently in Eau Claire County Court to a felony count of strangulation and suffocation and a misdemeanor count of intimidating a victim.
Judge William Gabler ordered Henigan to spend three years on extended supervision following his release from prison. Henigan was also fined $1,161.
According to the criminal complaint:
A woman, who was six months pregnant with Henigan’s child, told police they were arguing about relationship issues on Oct. 23 at her Boardwalk Circle residence.
Henigan hit the woman in the face, grabbed her right arm tightly and forced her into the bedroom.
Henigan then choked the woman around the neck and forced her to the bed. He hit her stomach and upper leg area while screaming he didn’t care about the baby.
Henigan told the woman he had a gun and would shoot himself if she called the police.
The woman called police after Henigan left.
Henigan was prosecuted as a repeat offender. He was convicted of a felony count of burglary in August 2013 in Milwaukee County.
