BLACK RIVER FALLS — Alcohol appeared to be a factor in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Sunday in the town of Northfield in Jackson County in which the driver and three passengers were ejected from the vehicle.

Jackson County deputies learned of a crash at 4:18 a.m. on Highway 121 near Ellingson Road.

An initial investigation shows a pickup truck was traveling east on Highway 121 when it left the road and rolled several times.

Carson Scholze, 24, of Merrillan, was driving the truck, which also contained three passengers: Stephanie Wathen, 26, of Hixton; Cody Miller, 20, and Cole Young, 20, both of Humbird.

All occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries. Wathen and Young were transported by ambulance and Scholze and MIller were flown by a helicopter to local hospitals.

The case in under investigation.
