MENOMONIE — A man is charged in Dunn County Court with his fifth drunken-driving offense.
Michael W. Ferber, 58, Woodville, is being charged with fifth-offense drunken driving and operating with prohibited alcohol concentration.
According to the criminal complaint:
On March 16 at 3:13 p.m., an officer noticed that a vehicle was moving in its lane from side to side, and when the vehicle turned on to 11th Avenue West the officer noticed the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
After stopping the vehicle, the officer noticed the odor of intoxicants coming from the driver, Ferber. The officer conducted a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test. Ferber then was placed under arrest.
Ferber has been convicted of drunken driving in St. Croix County (2004), Pierce County (2004), St. Croix County (2002) and Dunn County (1992).
Ferber is scheduled for a pretrial conference on June 5.
