Motorcycle crash leaves 1 injured

ELLSWORTH — A single motorcycle crash Sunday in Maiden Rock left one man injured, according to a news release from the Pierce County sheriff’s office.

According to the release: 

The sheriff’s office responded to a single motorcycle crash at 3:56 p.m. Sunday at the area of 385th and 380th streets in the town of Maiden Rock. 

An investigation determined a 2008 Yamaha V-star, driven by Michael Marnich, 55, of Hilltop, Minn., was traveling southbound on 385th Street when the motorcycle veered into the west ditch, reentered the roadway and overturned.

Marnich was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undetermined injuries. 

Plum City/​Maiden Rock EMS, Lund Fire, Maiden Rock Fire and Life Link Mayo Helicopter also assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
