An Eau Claire grocery store opened its doors again Wednesday after being closed for almost a year.
Gordy’s County Market at 1031 W. Clairemont Ave. closed its doors last September but is open to the public again as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Eau Claire City Council approved a liquor license for the store in May.
The goals of the store are to serve a wide demographic and make it easy for customers to shop and live well, storemanager Seth Walker said.
“It’s a very diverse community with senior citizens and college students and the hospital community around here, and it’s just being able to offer a wide variety of options,” he said. “To be able to offer something for every type of customer.”
