Pastor to speak at Christian writers' kickoff meeting

The Western Wisconsin Christian Writers Guild invites writers to its kick-off meeting at 7 tonight at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church, 123 W. Hamilton Ave.

The Rev. Dan Kohn returns with his passion for writing. He has written daily devotions for many years and currently writes a daily devotion for Wisconsin Christian News, entitled “Story Line — God’s & Ours.” Kohn will speak on the logistics of devotion writing, describing how a writer goes from information to inspiration through one-minute devotions.

Kohn is a husband, father, pastor, and writer. His writing “career” includes five published books and devotional writing for five years. As a pastor, he develops weekly Bible studies where his goal is inspiration and application of the Word.

The WWCWG meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month from September to May at the church. The group offers Christian fellowship, practical advice, networking, and training opportunities for writers.

For more information about membership and fees, go to wwcwg.com, contact Sheila Wilkinson at 715-839-1207 or email wwcwg.info@gmail.com.
