Foxconn Technology Group will hold a meeting Tuesday morning in downtown Eau Claire for contractors interested in turning part of a building into the company’s Chippewa Valley innovation center.
The Taiwan-based company building a large flat-panel display factory in southeastern Wisconsin announced Thursday that it will be seeking proposals until Sept. 27 for Foxconn Place Chippewa Valley.
Companies interested in learning more about the proposal process can attend an information session at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Pablo Center at the Confluence, 128 Graham Ave.
Contractors will be tasked with turning vacant ground floor commercial space in Haymarket Landing, a six-story downtown building completed in September 2016, into an innovation and technology incubation center. The company plans to occupy the building as early as December.
Foxconn announced this summer that it is buying a portion of Haymarket Landing’s ground floor and The Grand, a six-story former Wells Fargo building at 204 E. Grand Ave., also in downtown Eau Claire.
