A day after his brother was sentenced to six years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl, James M. Hutter pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Eau Claire County Court to sexually assaulting the same girl.
Hutter, 27, of Arkansaw, is charged with felony counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and attempted possession of child pornography in one case and felony bail jumping in another.
Hutter pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Hutter’s brother, Johnathan M. Hutter, 25, was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault of a child and sentenced Tuesday to prison followed by five years of extended supervision.
According to the criminal complaint:
The girl told police she was sexually assaulted by the Hutter brothers between January 2013 and July 2015 on several occasions at the girl’s Eau Claire residences, beginning when she was 13. None of the contact involved intercourse. James Hutter also reportedly sent the girl inappropriate photos of himself.
