MENOMONIE — U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General is investigating cases of missing prescription medication in Dunn County.
The Dunn County sheriff’s office received several complaints of missing medication last month and began investigating, Sheriff Dennis Smith said Tuesday. Most of the complaints came from veterans looking for deliveries from the VA.
Eventually, his staff determined the thefts appeared to be “an inside job” involving a Menomonie postal employee, and they turned the cases over to the postal inspector, Smith said.
