The event is hosted by Downtown Eau Claire Inc. and Valleybrook Church.

They will be doing trash pickup along the rivers, sweeping sidewalks, alley cleanup, fixing up planting areas on South Barstow Street, cleanup of the bus transfer station, landscaping in the West Grand area around a new welcome sign, work at the Forest Street Community Garden, S bridge and Grand Avenue bridge cleanup, painting on Dewey Street amenities, and planting in flower beds on Graham Avenue, Grand Avenue and off Main Street.

Volunteers also will be helping with projects for some nonprofit organizations: Big Brothers Big Sisters, L.E. Phillips Senior Center and Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild.

Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m., with a group photo at 9 a.m., at Valleybrook Church, 412 S. Barstow St. Everyone will set out for their projects after the group photo and work on them until noon. The day will end with a lunch from noon to 1 p.m. at Phoenix Park.
