HUDSON — A 68-year-old rural New Richmond man accused of drinking a child’s urine several times in recent years has been charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child.
Richard L. Zeier on Friday was ordered held in the St. Croix County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond. His next court date is Monday. Each count has a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison.
A boy younger than 10 told police that on three instances in 2014 Zeier drank the boy’s urine when the child urinated outside, according to court records. Zeier told police on Thursday that the boy’s reports were true, calling himself a “recepticle” for the urine. Police also found several bottles of urine in Zeier’s residence.
