BUFFALO, N.Y. — Rasmus Ristolainen scored 42 seconds into overtime to give the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Friday night.
Johan Larsson — who scored on an assist from former Memorial standout Jake McCabe — and Matt Moulson also scored, and Ristolainen had his team-leading 19th assist to help the Sabres win their second straight game. Robin Lehner made 33 saves.
Kyle Okposo assisted on Ristolainen's goal. The Buffalo points leader was playing against his former team for the first time.
