College roundup (3/18/17): Blugolds softball stays hot with two wins

The UW-Eau Claire softball team routed previously unbeaten Farmingdale State 10-0 in five innings at the Rebel Games in Kissamie, Fla. 

The Blugolds (9-1) racked up 11 hits during the contest. Leah Wolf went 2-for-3 with an RBI. UW-Eau Claire slugged out five doubles on the day.

Lauren Blasczyk got the win in the circle after striking out five in three innings of work. 

Also on Saturday, the Blugolds beat Washington & Jefferson 12-0. Wolff went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Rachel Heffel had three runs and three RBI. 

Blue Devils fall to Eagles

The UW-Stout baseball team fell to Edgewood 6-1 in its final game of the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Meyers, Fla. 

Matt Emmer went 3-for-4 and scored the only run for the Blue Devils. Eau Claire native Jordan Wilson hit 2-for-4 with the RBI for UW-Stout. The Blue Devils completed a triple in the sixth inning.
