Former Regis/McDonell standout Braxton Collins scored his first collegiate goal as UW-Eau Claire earned a sweep of Finlandia with a 4-1 win on Sunday at Hobbs Ice Center.
Collins, who played on Regis/McDonell’s back-to-back sectional final teams in 2013 and 2014, scored 5 minutes, 15 seconds into the third period to extend the Blugolds’ lead to 4-0.
The Blugolds built a lead on a pair of goals from Colton Wolter, who scored late in the first and again late in the second.
Kyle Lee was the other Blugold who found the back of the net on Sunday.
It’s the third straight win for UW-Eau Claire following a 5-1 win over Finlandia on Saturday night.
The Blugolds begin conference play this week, traveling to UW-Stout on Wednesday before hosting UW-River Falls on Saturday.
