Keegan Dickson scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half as UW-Stout pulled away from Northwestern-St. Paul for a 70-56 victory Saturday in nonconference men’s basketball action at Johnson Fieldhouse in Menomonie.
Isaac Elliott scored a game-high 21 points for the Blue Devils (4-3), who were tied with the Eagles at 31 at halftime.
Jacob Gervais scored 18 points for Northwestern (1-4).
Wartburg College 66, UW-Eau Claire 55: Sawyer Herman scored 21 points as the No. 14 Knights snapped the Blugolds’ four-game winning streak at Levick Arena in Waverly, Iowa.
Chris Duff scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead UW-Eau Claire (4-3), which shot 38.6 percent from the floor and was just 4-for-27 from 3-point range.
Cole Rabedeaux added 14 points.
The Knights (6-1) outrebounded the Blugolds 42-24. Thirteen of those were offensive rebounds.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Kyncaide Diedrich scored a game-high 16 points and added six assists as UW-Stout beat Northland College 68-26 in nonconference action at Johnson Fieldhouse in Menomonie.
The 26 points were the fewest the Blue Devils (4-3) have allowed since the late 1970s.
Anna Brown added 12 points for UW-Stout, while Bailey Diersen finished with 12.
MEN’S HOCKEY: Jake Bresser, Scott Munro, Jesse Tredinnick and Jacob Wolter scored goals as UW-Eau Claire beat UW-River Falls 4-0 at Hobbs Ice Center.
