Andrew Pratt’s two-run single in the eighth inning gave the Eau Claire Express just enough offense in a 10-9 win over the Duluth Huskies on Saturday night at Wade Stadium in Duluth, Minn.
Pratt’s hit gave the Express a 10-4 lead, but the Huskies scored three times in their half of the eighth and then twice in the ninth before stranding the tying run on third.
Adam LaRock, Spencer Myers and Pratt all had three hits for the Express, who were helped out by eight errors by Duluth. Eau Claire wasn’t much better commiting five errors and walking nine. The Huskies outhit the Express 14-8, but stranded 13 runners on base.
LaRock, a North grad, stole three bases.
