You might smell a rat if you read Eau Claire author Becky Wojahn's new children's book. But in this case, contrary to popular opinion, that would be a good thing.

The protagonist in "Malcolm at Midnight," released in September by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, is none other than a rat, albeit a lovable one, named Malcolm.
