An Eau Claire man will spend 90 days in jail and three years on probation for crashing his vehicle on Eau Claire's north side after leading police on a high-speed chase, and for having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.
James R. Toy, 21, 2644 Diane Lane, pleaded guilty Friday in Eau Claire County Court to drunken driving and felony counts of eluding an officer and third-degree sexual assault.
Judge Michael Schumacher fined Toy $754 and revoked his driver's license for seven months.
As conditions of probation, Toy cannot drink alcohol, enter taverns, attend house parties where alcohol is served, have contact with the 15-year-old girl or have unsupervised contact with children excluding family members.
According to the criminal complaints:
An Eau Claire County sheriff's deputy observed Toy driving more than 100 mph on the North Crossing at 3 a.m. Aug. 8.
The deputy activated his emergency lights and attempted to stop Toy, who led the deputy on a high-speed chase on the North Crossing, Abbe Hill Drive, Hemlock Lane, North Hastings Way and Delbert Road.
At the intersection of Locust Lane, Dale Road and Hallie Lane, Toy lost control of his vehicle and struck a small tree and mailbox before crashing into a large pine tree.
Toy was not injured.
In the other case, the mother of the 15-year-old girl discovered Toy and the girl were having a sexual relationship in November 2008.
The girl told police she had sexual intercourse twice with Toy at her Eau Claire residence.

90 days in jail and 3 years on probation for just this. Seems a little excessive to me but I'm sure it will teach him a lesson and he will certainly never have sex with a young girl again......until next time.
