After years of sporadic talk about bringing a large event center to Eau Claire, a new survey indicating strong support from residents could be the first step in building one.
On Monday, a committee from Clear Vision Eau Claire presented the results of a nearly three-year study on whether community members see a need for such a venue. Based on those results - which indicated the community is strongly in favor of new facilities of some kind - the effort will begin to pick up speed in the fall.
