CHIPPEWA FALLS — The Chippewa County Public Health Department will begin working with state officials on the possibility of expanding its family planning services to fill the niche lost with the impending closure of the Planned Parenthood center in Chippewa Falls.
"Health departments are eligible to provide family planning services, but we haven't provided them," said county public health director Jean Durch. "There are no funds available to us to start up and maintain that program. We'll be following up with our partners in the state."
