Catherine L. Kraft passed away peacefully at Care Partner Memory Care on Birch Street in Eau Claire, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
She was born on April 11, 1924 in Menomonie to Fred and Catherine Reikowski. She graduated from Menomonie High School. In 1946, she met and married the love of her life, William E. “Bill” Kraft. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before Bill’s death in 2009. They had many years of enjoyment at their summer cabin on Tom Lake in northern Minnesota and winter home in Clearwater, Florida.
Catherine was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire for more than 50 years. She retired after many years as a receptionist and dental assistant for Dr. Gordy Hanson in Eau Claire.
She is survived by her son Richard (Nancy) Kraft, daughter Mary (Byron) Boettcher of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and sisters, Mary and Margaret.

Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Aaseng officiating. Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner, Wisconsin.
