Quinn Belden

Quinn Allen Belden died Friday, March 17th, after a long battle with cancer, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Quinn was born April 26, 1955 to Darlene (Schulner) and Oscar Belden.

Quinn began his education at one of the few remaining one room schoolhouses with frozen milk for lunch and a pot belly stove to heat the classroom. The school closed and Quinn transferred to Anthony Grade School and attended Mondovi High School graduating in 1973. Quinn enjoyed his high school years especially time spent playing football. After high school Quinn worked nights at Systems Management where he remembered fondly, “the best crew.” Up until Quinn faced declining health he worked at J. H. Larsen Electrical. Quinn loved his job at Larsen Electric. Even as Quinn faced the final days of his life, it was his wish to return to the job he loved. Quinn’s coworkers and customers were his extended family. Quinn always had a story or joke to tell. Even as his health faded Quinn never complained or lost his sense of humor. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and positive spirit.

On February 12, 1977, Quinn married Annette Globensky at Holy Ghost Church. Annette and Quinn resided in Mondovi for many years prior to moving to Chippewa Falls. They spent forty years together raising their children, Sarah and Craig and numerous family pets, while enjoying camping, bowling, Packer games, stock car racing, and nights out with family and friends. Quinn was a proud deer hunter and enjoyed hunting with family and friends of the Town Line Sportsman’s Club.

Quinn will be dearly missed by his wife, Annette; and their children, Sarah (Eric) Warner and Craig Belden; along with his cherished grandsons, Tyler and Bradley and special “grandchildren,” Rachel and Damian. Quinn is survived by his brother, Jann Belden (nieces, Monica and Tina) and sister, Cinthia (Pat) Olin and their children Shawn, Heidi, and Wendi. Quinn is further survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and family friends.

Quinn was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, August Bell; mother and father-in-law, Dolores and John Globensky.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 Noon Friday, March 24th at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls with Reverend Justin Kizewski officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 Noon.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Dettbarn and Dr. Muslim for their continual care and concern for Quinn. Thank you to the staffs of Sacred Heart Hospital, Wissota Health Transitions, St. Joseph's Home Health and Hospice services for the kindness and compassion shown to Quinn throughout his illness.

Family and friends may express condolences online at http://www.horanfuneralhome.com.
