Judith A. Woletz, age 83, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Gainsville, FL.
Judy was born on March 19, 1934 to Albert and Ethel Matz. Judy lived most of her life in Eau Claire, WI. She spent her career working as a registered nurse at Luther Hospital until her retirement. Judy was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and many volunteer organizations in the community. Following her dream, she moved to The Villages, FL, in 2008, and became the Faith Community Nurse for Hope Lutheran Church. She is credited with starting many health programs including chair aerobics and chair fitness. Judy retired as parish nurse on June 1, 2017.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel Matz and her first husband, Larry Buchberger.
Judy is survived by her children, Laurie Buchberger, Scott (Shirley) Buchberger, Joel (Pam) Woletz and Brad Woletz (Joan Toth), her grandchildren, Carl (Kira) Buchberger, Jessica Buchberger, Samuel (Jasmine) Woletz, Christopher Woletz, Molly Woletz, and Maggie Woletz, great granddaughter, Ivy Woletz, as well as her siblings Karen (Jim) McCrady, and Jeff (Gwen) Matz.
There will be a celebration of Judy’s life held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3214 Golf Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701 with Pastor Jamie Brieske officiating. The Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. immediately followed by a Memorial Service. All those wishing to celebrate Judy’s life are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to TTT - Wisconsin Chapter C.
