Edna Dahl

Edna LaMae Dahl passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Dove Healthcare in Osseo at the age of 90.

Edna was born March 14, 1927 at home in rural Osseo to Martin and Agnes (Johnson) Thomley. She attended Timber Creek School and Whitehall High School.

Edna married Wilmer Dahl on March 4, 1944 in Strum and were married 72 years. They had three children, Willis, Alden and Donna. Wilmer preceded her in death on December 5, 2016.

Edna worked at Erickson Grocery while in high school and later at the box factory in Arcadia, Huntsinger Farms in Eau Claire, Doughboy Industries in Eleva, Bush Brothers Canning in Augusta as well as on the family farm.

Wilmer and Edna traveled a lot, including Canada, Alaska, Norway, Hawaii and most of the other United States. Edna belonged to Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church Circle, Sons of Norway-Trygvasson Lodge 5-220, and Carl Nelson American Legion Post #324 Auxiliary in Osseo. She bowled for many years.

Edna is survived by her children Willis (Patricia Guza) Dahl of Osseo, Alden (Patricia Rakavic) Dahl of Stanley and Donna Dahl of Riverside, CA; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Norma (LaVern) Grandlund of Janesville, Delores Greathouse of Noblesville, IN and Jeanette Gilbertson of Pigeon Falls; sister-in-law, Ethel Dahl of Osseo. Edna will be dearly missed by her large extended family and many friends.

In addition to her husband Wilmer, she was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Agnes, brothers Orlin and David Thomley, sister Mildred Rogstad and two infant granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Lorenz officiating. Burial will follow in Osseo Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo is assisting the family.
