A Mondovi man will spend two years on probation for stealing thousands of dollars by misusing a credit card from his former Eau Claire employer. Matthew W. Leirmo, 36, formerly of Alma, pleaded no contest recently in Eau Claire County Court to three amended misdemeanor counts of theft. He was originally charged with felony counts of theft and unauthorized use of business identifying information or documents. Judge Emily Long fined Leirmo $2,109 and ordered him to pay $4,821 in restitution.
