With UW-Eau Claire moving forward on plans for a major event center on Menomonie Street, city officials are studying the community’s needs for a convention facility to see how the two projects could be intertwined. The latest step of the city’s convention center feasibility study occurred this week when the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce launched a survey of its members seeking input on local companies’ needs for space for conventions, meetings, banquets and other events.
