A Rice Lake man is accused of severely beating his girlfriend after she accused him of cheating with another woman. Trevor L. Davis, 29, was charged Thursday in Eau Claire County Court with felony charges of strangulation and suffocation, false imprisonment, aggravated battery and bail jumping, and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. An Eau Claire man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her Eau Claire home. Antonio D. Cantu told authorities the woman consented to the act, which he felt was repayment for money he owed her. Cantu, 42, 715 Hudson St., was charged Friday in Eau Claire County Court with a felony count of second-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct. A Kansas man will spend 10 days in jail for crashing a wedding reception in Eau Claire and inappropriately touching two girls. The man was also punched in the face by the bride, police say.
