Chamber to give public policy tips

Businesses interested in learning about how local, state and national policies are made can attend a 90-minute informational session on Nov. 29 in Eau Claire.

Scott Rogers, the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce’s governmental affairs and workforce director, will present the nonpartisan program at 4 p.m. at the chamber building, 101 N. Farwell St.

Rogers will explain which decisions are made at each level of government and how businesses can be effective when they want to weigh in on a policy issue.

• An Eau Claire delivery company won a distinction awarded to just 99 of the 5,600 small businesses that FedEx Ground contracts with in the U.S. and Canada.
