WNAXLP (PCR, November 24, 2022) COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS of the Common Council of the City of Phillips at a meeting held in the Council Room of Municipal Hall on October 11, 2022 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Peterson at 5:30 p.m. Those present included: Mayor Peterson At Large Aldermen: Jerry Clark, Marty Stephan, John Klimowski 1st Aldermanic District: Richard Heitkemper 2nd Aldermanic District: Laura Tomaszewski 3rd Aldermanic District: Bill Elliott Deputy Clerk/Treasurer: Autumn Gedde Also present: Michael Hauschild, Patricia Stephan, Joe Perkins. Public Comment: Discussion on county removing bridge by fairgrounds, City helping cleanup the bank to get crane in. IDC is looking to help bring in housing. DISCUSSION-ACTION ITEMS: 1. Clark/ Elliott moved to approve September 13th, 2022, Council Meeting Minutes. Carried 2. Discussion/ Action regarding moving the regularly scheduled November 8th Common Council meeting to Wednesday November 9th due to the Election. Clark can’t do Wednesday, Heitkemper may be unavailable, Klimowski is unavailable for that Monday. Council decided to have Council meeting on November 9th. 3. Klimowski/ Elliott moved to approve the payment of vouchers in total amount of $272,669.22. Roll Call: Clark – aye, Heitkemper – aye, Tomaszewski – aye, Stephan – aye, Elliott – aye, Klimowski – aye. Motion Carried 4. Stephan/ Klimowski moved to approve Pay request #10 for Staab Construction in the amount of $34,765.05 as recommended by the Committee of the Whole. Roll Call: Clark – aye, Heitkemper – aye, Tomaszewski – aye, Stephan – aye, Elliott – aye, Klimowski – aye. Motion Carried 5. Klimowski/ Clark moved to approve The Joint Powers Agreement with the Price County Sheriff’s Office. Carried 6. Committee Reports: Ambulance: Giving bonuses and ordering the new ambulance Library: Preliminary details Chamber: Looking at keeping harvest fest on the first Saturday of October. November 14th is the annual dinner; Northern Comfort is the business of the year and Jenny Kleinhans is the citizen of the year. 7.
