Research continues to show that milk is one of the best products for athletes to consume. That’s why employee owners at Vita Plus Loyal were proud to donate milk for the Loyal High School boys and girls basketball teams and wrestling team.

“We work with dairy farmers every day and know the effort they put into producing a wholesome and nutritious product, and then we go to our kids’ sporting events and are reminded of the nutrition young athletes need to keep their bodies strong and healthy,” said Darin Bremmer, Vita Plus Loyal dairy nutritionist. “Donating milk for our local athletes was a no-brainer.”

According to the National Dairy Council, milk provides nine essential nutrients. It is an excellent source of protein to build and repair muscle, and calcium and vitamin D for strong bones. Furthermore, milk provides B vitamins that convert food into fuel for the body, and other vitamins and minerals needed for healthy and active lifestyles.

Vita Plus Loyal coordinated with the Loyal School District to make milk available for all the high school boys and girls basketball teams during each home game of the 2018-19 season. They also provided milk for the home wrestling match and plan to continue the program for all the spring and fall sports teams as well.
