Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Forester Christine Walroth was selected from among winners from 11 states to be named 2017 North Central Regional Tree Farm Inspector of the Year.
Wolrath has been involved with the American Tree Farm program and Tree Farm programs in several other states since 1977. She began working for the WDNR in 2003 and currently serves as district chairman for the Wisconsin Tree Farm program.
Wolrath has been described as a “hands-on forester” and has been an educational speaker and programmer for forestry and tree farm events around Wisconsin. She was honored in February in North Carolina during the National Leadership Conference of the American Tree Farm System.
