Nickolas Butler will make two appearances Monday as part of the release of "LIttle Faith," his new novel:

• noon to 4 p.m., Dotters Books, 1602 Hogeboom Ave.

• 5:30 p.m., Volume One Gallery, 205 N. Dewey St. Butler will give readings at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Butler, who lives in the Eau Claire area, was educated at UW-Madison and the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop. His books include:

• The internationally best-selling and prize-winning "Shotgun Lovesongs," which has been optioned for film development and has been translated into 10 languages.

• "Beneath the Bonfire," a collection of short stories. 

• "The Hearts of Men," a novel that was short-listed for two of France’s most prestigious literary prizes even before its American publishing.

He also is a Leader-Telegram columnist.
