The Oxbow Hotel in Eau Claire is hosting a series of performances in its Gallery in the coming week.

• Savannah Smith will perform at an album release party with Caitlin McGarvey from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday.

"Leo," Smith’s debut full length album, is described as a dark and lush tribute to loss and the ripples it creates. According to her press materials, she honed the sound for the new album in a house built by her great-grandfather Leo.

The album was recorded and produced by Minneapolis’ Brett Bullion, and the music is described as a stormy soundscape for Smith’s earnest words and vocals. It includes simple, swelling instrumentation and complex rhythms and samples, press materials say.

• Haley Heynderickx will perform from 8 to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Heynderickx's debut album, "I Need to Start a Garden," came out in 2018. According to Heynderickx's website, her music, with soft acoustic guitar picking and accented trombone sighs, immediately recalls folk music of the ’60s and ’70s mixed with a love of jazz radio. And her singing ranges from sultry to operatic.

Tickets cost $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

• Hand Habits, with Tomberlin, will perform from 8 to 10 p.m.

According to press materials, Meg Duffy, aka Hand Habits, has released the albums "Wildly Idle (Humble Before the Void)" in 2017 and "placeholder" this year. Duffy has played guitar for indie artists such as Kevin Morby, Mega Bog and Weyes Blood.

NPR Music wrote that, on "placeholder," "Duffy's vocals find new confidence amid gentle guitar strumming and warbling pedal steel, blending into a haze of dreamlike Americana. These songs evoke waves of warm, pop-driven nostalgia, with equal doses of melancholy and optimism."

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
