COOKIE WALK: The 28th annual Christmas cookie walk will be from 9 a.m. to noon today at Christ Church, Cathedral, 510 S. Farwell St.

An assortment of cookies, candies and other holiday goodies will be for sale.

FISH FRY: The St. Olaf Men’s Club is having its all-you-can-eat fish fry season from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Father Agnew Parish Center, 2407 North Lane.

The menu will feature two kinds of battered fish, baked fish, french fries, baked potato, vegetables, salad bar, coffee and milk.

The cost is $11 for adults; $10, diners 65 and older; $4, children 5 to 12; and free, children 4 and younger. Carryouts also will be available for $10.

COOKIES & CRAFTS: A cookie walk and craft sale will be from 8 a.m. until gone Saturday, Dec. 8, at Chetek Lutheran Church, 1419 Second St.

The sale will feature Christmas cookies, candy, ethnic baking, lefse, a craft room and quilts.

Coffee and cookies will be served until closing.

CRAFTS & COOKIES: Sacred Heart of Jesus-St. Patrick’s Catholic Church is holding a cookie walk and holiday craft show from 8:30 a.m. to noon — or while cookies and crafts last — Sunday, Dec. 9, in the parish center cafeteria, 322 Fulton St.

The cost is $7 per pound, you choose; $8.50, 1-pound platter; and $25, 3-pound platter.

Proceeds will benefit the parish and youth.

HOLY FAMILY BRUNCH: All Saints Parish and the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Holy Family Hall, 136 E. Third Ave., Stanley.

The menu will consist of scrambled eggs with bacon, pancakes, waffles, potato pancakes, fried potatoes, sausage, ham, cheese curds, mixed fruit, coffee, juice and milk.

The cost is $10 for adults; $5, children 6 to 12; and free, children 5 and younger.

No reservations are needed, and some of the proceeds will be donated to seminarian Dan Williams.

WOMEN’S LUNCHEON: The Eau Claire Women’s Connection is holding its December luncheon at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club, 828 Club View Lane, Altoona.

Becki Spina, owner of Becki’s Mediterranean Olive Salsa, is the inspirational speaker. The event also will include Christmas melodies with Anne Kubiatowicz at the keyboard and Marsha Pilgrim’s Nativity sets.
