LUNCH & DISCUSSION: All are welcome to attend a soup and sandwich luncheon followed by a discussion at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rice Lake First United Methodist Church, 1221 Wesley Drive.

The Invitation and Member Care Committee is hosting the program “Know Us Before You Need Us,” presented by the Aging & Disability Resource Center’s life project director Chris Hagen and benefit specialist Leanne Grover.

The program is aimed at adults over 60, adults with disabilities and their families and caregivers.

Topics of discussion will include nutrition, transportation, benefits, dementia care and care providers.

HIMALAYAN CUISINE & LECTURE SERIES: People are invited to attend a Himalayan cuisine dinner and lecture series on human development from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Christ Episcopal Church, 624 Bay St., Chippewa Falls.

Sant Dharamananda, a disciple of the Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas, will present “Science of the Chakra.”

Dharamananda, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from UW-Stout. He also holds a master’s degree in sustainable community development and doctorate degree in Eastern philosophy.

The event is a fundraiser.
