Ready to debate

Rebecca Cooke, a Democrat from Eau Claire running for the Third Congressional District seat, spoke to area media on Friday after meeting with the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. Cooke said she is ready to debate her opponent, Republican incumbent Derrick Van Orden of Prairie du Chien “any time, any place.”

EAU CLAIRE — Rebecca Cooke said she is ready to debate her Congressional opponent Derrick Van Orden “any time, any place.”

“I think it’s important to give voters an opportunity to hear from the candidates,” Cooke said Friday during a stop in Eau Claire.
