La Crosse Logan (0-1) at Eau Claire North (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Eau Claire North, coming off a 60-21 loss to La Crosse Central, fell to La Crosse Logan 49-0 last season. Logan was defeated by Eau Claire Memorial 47-22 last week.
La Crosse Central (1-0) at Eau Claire Memorial (1-0), 7 p.m. Thursday
La Crosse Central, coming off a 60-21 victory against Eau Claire North, bested Eau Claire Memorial 44-12 last season. The Old Abes beat La Crosse Logan 47-22 in Week 1.
Holmen (1-0) at Menomonie (1-0), 7 p.m. Thursday
Menomonie, coming off a strong second half in a 34-10 win against Lake Mills, beat Holmen 19-7 last season. Holmen bested Chippewa Falls 27-7 last week.
Chippewa Falls (0-1) at Medford (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Chi-Hi bested Medford, 35-8, last season but is coming off a 27-7 loss to Holmen. Medford beat another Big Rivers foe last week, downing Rice Lake 14-0.
New Richmond (0-1) at Rice Lake (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Rice Lake dropped its season opener to Medford, 14-0. New Richmond is playing a Big Rivers opponent for the second week in a row after falling 35-28 last Friday. Rice Lake won last season's matchup between these two 36-33.
Onalaska (1-0) at River Falls (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Both teams will look to start the year 2-0. River Falls edged New Richmond 35-28 last week, while Onalaska edged Hudson 21-14.
Montini Catholic, Ill. (0-0) at Hudson (0-1), 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Hudson looks for its first win of the year when it hosts the six-time Illinois state champion Broncos on Saturday. The Raiders fell to Onalaska 21-14 last week. This is Montini Catholic's first game of the season.
Regis (1-0) at Fall Creek (0-1), 7 p.m. Thursday
The Ramblers will look to stay unbeaten following last week's 57-0 win over Cadott, while Fall Creek is seeking its first win after falling to Neillsville/Granton 41-6 to open the year.
Cadott (0-1) at Altoona (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Somebody will be getting their first win of the season in this matchup. Cadott fell to Regis 57-0 last week, while Stanley-Boyd bested Altoona 38-14. Altoona beat Cadott on a touchdown in the final minute last year. This game is the grand opening of Altoona's new Oakleaf Stadium.
Athens (1-0) at Augusta (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Both squads will look to keep momentum going after Augusta topped Thorp 14-8 last week and Athens handled Rib Lake/Prentice 47-6.
Newman Catholic (1-0) at McDonell (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
McDonell picked up its first 8-man win by rallying for a 42-40 win over Port Edwards last week. Newman Catholic beat Oakfield 53-21.
Thorp (0-1) at Glenwood City (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Either the Cardinals or Hilltoppers will grab their first win of the season. Thorp fell to Augusta 14-8 last week, while Clear Lake blanked Glenwood City 30-0.
Stanley-Boyd (1-0) at Marathon (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Orioles will look to keep rolling following a 38-14 win over Altoona last week. Marathon was shut out by Abbotsford, 21-0.
Spencer/Columbus (0-1) at Osseo-Fairchild (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Thunder will look to get back on track following a 46-6 loss to Colby last week, while the Rockets will try to put a 41-0 loss to defending state champion Stratford behind them.
St. Croix Central (1-0) at Elk Mound (1-0), 7 p.m. Thursday
The Mounders meet last year's Division 4 state runner-up fresh off a 40-0 win over Cochrane-Fountain City. The Panthers topped Durand 41-6 last Friday.
Clear Lake (1-0) at Boyceville (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
The Bulldogs are coming off a confidence-boosting 35-0 shutout of Independence/Gilmanton last week. Clear Lake had a shutout of its own, beating Glenwood City 30-0.
Prescott (0-1) at Durand (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Panthers will look to rebound after a 41-6 loss to St. Croix Central last week. They'll face a Cardinals team that fell to Rhinelander 21-0 in Week 1.
Colfax (0-1) at Eleva-Strum (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Vikings fell to Whitehall 20-12 to open the year, while Eleva-Strum was blanked by Mondovi 54-0. One of the two will have their first win of the year on Friday.
Spring Valley (1-0) at Elmwood/Plum City (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Both teams are coming off narrow wins in Week 1 — Spring Valley edged Unity 28-21, while Elmwood/Plum City defeated Pepin/Alma 36-24.
Mondovi (1-0) at Osceola (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
The Buffaloes will aim to keep the herd going in the right direction after last week's 54-0 shutout of Eleva-Strum. Osceola was impressive in its opener too, beating Arcadia 41-8.
Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (1-0) at Bloomer (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Both teams have started off the year with a conference win: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser blanked Cameron 41-0 in Week 1, while Bloomer edged St. Croix Falls 22-7.
Ladysmith (0-1) at Barron (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Both squads dropped their conference openers last week — Ladysmith fell 56-26 to Cumberland, while Barron dropped a 42-18 contest against Hayward.
Cumberland (1-0) at St. Croix Falls (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Beavers will look to stay on track after a 56-26 win over Ladysmith. They face a St. Croix Falls team that fell to Bloomer 22-7 to open the year.
Auburndale (1-0) at Blair-Taylor (1-0), 7 p.m. Friday
The Wildcats aim for their second win of the year following last week's 28-14 win over Luther. Auburndale also won its opener, 38-0 over Pittsville.
Independence/Gilmanton (0-1) at Fall River/Rio (0-1), 7 p.m. Friday
The Indees will try to get back on track after last week's 35-0 loss to Boyceville. They hit the road to take on a Fall River/Rio team which fell to Almond-Bancroft 26-14 last week.
